India defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs in the first Test held in Chennai, with a brilliant performance in both innings. The men's selection committee has decided to retain the same 16-member team for the upcoming match, which shows confidence in the current form of the players.

Team India for the second Test:

Captain: Rohit Sharma

Players: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Dhruv Jurel (reserve wicketkeeper), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, Jasprit Bumrah and Yash Dayal.

Highlights of the first Test:

India scored 376 runs in their first innings thanks to Ashwin's brilliant century.

In reply, Bangladesh managed to score only 149 runs.

In the second innings, India declared the innings at 287 runs thanks to centuries from Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant and set a challenging target of 515 runs.

The entire Bangladesh team was bowled out for 234 runs, with Ashwin taking six wickets. This is his fourth time to score a century and take five wickets in a Test match.
