Charu Asopa on coming to Mumbai after 6 months

After spending almost ten days in Kolkata celebrating Durga Puja at her ex-husband Rajeev Sen’s home, actress Charu Asopa recently returned to Mumbai with her daughter, Ziana, and Rajeev. The visit marked her first time back in the city after six long months — a place she once called home for over 16 years. For Charu, this return stirred a flood of emotions, memories, and reflections on her journey in the entertainment industry and beyond.

In her latest vlog, Charu opened up about her emotional homecoming, saying, “It’s an overwhelming feeling. I can’t express it. So many emotions are running through my mind. Obviously, I have lived here for almost 16 years, and it’s been six months since I left Mumbai. And today, I have come back. Even now, when we landed after so long, it still feels like I’ve come to my city. You know, when you’ve lived somewhere for so many years — everything that I have achieved, I have got it by living here. Those days of struggling, working hard, and gradually making my name — it’s because of this city.”

Currently, Charu is based in Bikaner, Rajasthan, where she has bought her own home and established a business, marking a new phase of independence and stability in her life. Yet, her deep connection with Mumbai remains unchanged. She revealed how every corner of the city reminds her of her early struggles and eventual success.

Sharing another special moment from her trip, Charu added, “Today in flight, I met producer Rashmi Sharma. In my career, I always wanted to meet her but never got the chance. It was really overwhelming. Actually, since I have landed, everything feels very emotional. It’s a very deep feeling. It’s not easy — after doing so much and getting everything, when you leave everything behind, it’s just not easy.”

For Charu, this brief visit to Mumbai wasn’t just about revisiting old memories — it was a reminder of how far she has come, the roots she built in the city, and the courage it took to start anew.
