Mangaluru: The Karnataka Second Pre-University Course (PUC) Examination 1 results were announced across the state on Tuesday, with students from the Dakshina Kannada district securing top ranks in both Science and Commerce streams.
Amulya Kamath, a student of Expert PU College, Mangaluru, emerged as the state topper in the Science stream, scoring an impressive 599 out of 600 marks.
In the Commerce stream, Deepshree, a student of Canara PU College, also from Dakshina Kannada, secured 599 out of 600, claiming the first rank at the state level.
In the Arts stream, Sanjana Bai from Indu PU College, Ballari, scored 597 out of 600, earning her the top rank in the category.
According to the II PUC Exam-1 results, Udupi district has secured the highest pass percentage in the state with 93.90%, followed closely by Dakshina Kannada at 93.57%, placing it in the second position.
The exceptional performance by students, particularly from the coastal districts, has been widely lauded by educators and officials.
