'They were best friends': MAGA shares old Kamala Harris tweet thanking Diddy, amid sex trafficking charges

An old tweet from Vice President Kamala Harris thanking Sean "Diddy" Combs has resurfaced on social media, with MAGA supporters sharing the post amid the rap mogul’s recent arrest on sex trafficking charges. In the 2020 tweet, Harris thanked Diddy for hosting a town hall on racial inequality during the Covid-19 pandemic, writing, “Thank you, @Diddy, for hosting this town hall last night. There’s a lot at stake for our communities right now, and it’s critical we bring to the forefront how coronavirus is perpetuating racial inequality and health disparities.”

MAGA users seized on the connection, with many users pointing out Harris’s previous interactions with Diddy. One user wrote, “Kamala and Diddy were best friends,” while others expressed surprise that Diddy supported Harris’s 2020 campaign. Another post read, “Is ANYONE surprised that Diddy was pushing Kamala Harris’s campaign in 2020?” A few even dragged Taylor Swift into the discussion, suggesting she should address her past connection with Diddy.

Photos of Donald Trump with Diddy were also doing rounds on social media following the rapper's conviction. A widely shared image showed Trump with Diddy and Melania Trump, raising questions about Trump’s associations. One post read, “There are pictures everywhere of Sean Diddy Combs with him. And Jeffrey Epstein. I tell you guys all the time, I don’t believe in coincidences.” Other users pointed out that Diddy is an investor in Elon Musk's X platform, adding to the intrigue surrounding his arrest.

In response to Harris’s tweet and the resurfaced photos, some users shared doctored images falsely claiming to show Harris and Diddy together. These images were quickly discredited. The original 2001 photo actually depicted Harris with talk show host Montel Williams, not Diddy. Harris and Williams had dated in the past, further confusing the conversation.

The controversy comes as Diddy faces serious charges. The 54-year-old music mogul was arrested and charged with racketeering and sex trafficking. Prosecutors allege he forced women into drug-fueled “Freak Off” sex sessions with male prostitutes, which were often recorded for blackmail purposes. Diddy pleaded not guilty to the charges but was denied bail after a judge raised concerns about witness tampering and the power imbalance in the case.
