A small twin engine Cessna 310 turned into a fireball and crashed along a busy street in Boca Raron, Florida on Friday Morning. Three people were onboard and they are believed to be dead in a second shocking aviation mishap in the US within 24 hours. On Thursday, a chopper crashed into the Hudson River near Manhattan, killing five of a family and the pilot.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the Boca Raton plane crash that took place at about 10.20 am.

Tracking website FlightRadar 24 revealed the route of the flight after taking off from Boca Raton . It showed that the flight was trying to return to the Boca Raton airport. It made repeated loops around the airport.

“We are deeply saddened to confirm that a plane crash occurred earlier today within our community,” Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer said in a statement. “Our thoughts are with all those affected by this tragic event. We ask for patience and respect for the families involved as investigations continue.”

As the aircraft smashed into the ground, debris scattered along the road and the train tracks. The aircraft was due to make a 430-mile journey to Tallahassee.

It is not yet clear what led to the crash, but an engine failure is not being ruled out. One person on the ground sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Apart from the Flight Radar data that revealed how the plane circled around the airport, witnesses reported seeing the aircraft lying low and then they felt the building shake.
