'Big Trump fan' Brittany Mahomes torn over support after Trump's 'I hate Taylor Swift' Outburst

Wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Brittany Mahomes—whom Donald Trump had just days ago referred to as a "big Trump fan"—is reportedly conflicted about her support for the former president. According to DailyMail sources, Mahomes is deeply troubled by Trump’s recent derogatory comments about her close friend, Taylor Swift, and is now questioning her endorsement of him.

This tension arises from Trump’s public attack on Swift following the pop star’s endorsement of Kamala Harris after the VP debate. Trump took to his Truth Social platform to express his disdain, writing, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT.” This harsh remark has reportedly led Mahomes to reconsider her support for Trump, given her close relationship with Swift.

Earlier, Trump had praised Mahomes during an appearance on "Fox & Friends," saying, “I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better if you want to know the truth. She’s a big Trump fan. I like Brittany. I think Brittany’s great.”

Mahomes had previously sparked controversy by liking a social media post about Trump’s policies, which drew backlash from liberals. In response to the criticism, she defended herself on Instagram, addressing the negative reactions and expressing her frustration with the public’s response to her support for Trump.

Meanwhile, Trump’s disdain for Swift came after she endorsed Kamala Harris on Instagram, describing Harris as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and praising her choice of Tim Walz as a running mate. Swift’s endorsement resulted in a significant increase in voter registrations but had mixed effects on voter sentiment, according to a YouGov poll.
