NEW DELHI: Leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi remembered late CPM leader Sitaram Yechury as a friend who was flexible in approach, and played the role of a bridge between Congress and other parties in INDIA bloc and in UPA govt.
Rahul said, "What I found was a person who was flexible, who listened, who, even though he was on the oppo-site spectrum ideologically, had the ability to unders-tand where we were coming from, and he also allowed us to understand where he was coming from."
"He was a bridge, in a sense, between Congress and other parties in Indian govt (during UPA)," he said.
