NEW DELHI: Indian Army has released several videos of strikes carried out at nine terrorist spots in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir under " Operation Sindoor " in the early hours of Wednesday.
The footage included strikes at Sawai Nalla, Sarjal, Muridke and Kotli. The meticulously executed plan took place between 1.05am and 1.30am and targeted critical infrastructure linked to terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen.
Other terror infrastructure that were targeted include Kotli Gulpur, Mehmoona Joya, Bhimber and Bahawalpur.
"The targets for Operation Sindoor were based on credible intelligence inputs and locations that were so selected to avoid damage to civilian infrastructure and loss of civilian lives," Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said.
The government has categorically said that no Pakistani military sites were targeted.
Briefing about the opetaion, foreign secretary Vikram Misri said, "As you all know, on April 22, Pakistani and Pakistan-trained terrorist, associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, launched a barbaric attack on tourists in Pahalgam. 25 Indians, and one Nepali citizen were cowardly murdered. This is the most serious incident since 2008 Mumbai attack considering that fact the civilians were attacked."
"A group called the Resistance Front has claimed responsibility for Pahalgam attack. This group is connected with Lashkar-e Taiba. Pakistan links have been established in this attack. On April 25, Pakistan's pressure to remove the reference to TRF from the media release shouldn't be ignored. Pahalgam terrorist attack has exposed the links of Pakistan with terrorists," he added.
The strikes come in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people on April 22.
