NEW DELHI: Security forces have eliminated two terrorists during an ongoing joint operation in Gugaldhar, Kupwara , Jammu and Kashmir . According to the Indian Army , the operation was launched after receiving intelligence about an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control.
Troops from the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police spotted suspicious activity in the area on 4 October 2024. After challenging the intruders, an exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the terrorists being neutralised. War-like stores were also recovered from the site, the army said.
The search of the area is still underway as the operation continues.
