NEW DELHI: All five panelists of India's Got Latent- Samay Raina , Ranveer Allahbadia , Apoorva Mukhija , Jaspreet Singh and Ashish Chanchlani- appeared before the Maharashtra cyber cell on Tuesday to record their statement in the obscene remark row.
Earlier, YouTuber Chanchlani, who is among the alleged accused in the case, appeared before the Guwahati crime branch to give his statement, along with influencer Apoorva, podcaster Allahbadia, comedian Samay, and several others.
The podcaster later released a public apology, admitting that his remarks were not only inappropriate but also failed to be humorous. "My comment wasn't just inappropriate, it wasn't even funny. Comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry," he said in his apology. "Family is the last thing that I would ever disrespect," he added.
Apoorva also tendered a public apology in her recent and first YouTube video since the controversy.
The show faced heavy backlash after Allahbadia made controversial remarks in a recent episode. His comment about a contestant's parents quickly went viral, sparking widespread criticism across social media platforms.
