Prominent among those who have rebelled are minister and Indri MLA Karan Dev Kamboj, minister and Bawani Khera MLA Bishambar Valmiki, Ratia MLA Laxman Napa, former minister Kavita Jain from Sonipat, Shamsher Kharkada from Meham, Sukhwinder Sheoran from Badhra and Gautam Sardana from Hisar.

Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini said the outburst was bound to happen because only one candidate can be given a ticket among several aspirants. He, however, said that the efforts are being made to convince leaders who have expressed any kind of displeasure.

Ratia MLA Laxman Napa joined Congress Thursday in presence of former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Delhi. Napa was upset over denial of ticket by BJP, which has fielded former Sirsa MP Sunita Duggal in his place.

While wrestler-turned-politician Yogeshwar Dutt has expressed his grouse through a 'poetic' post on his social media account, Savitri Jindal, mother of BJP MP from Kurukshetra Navin Jindal, has hinted she might contest the election from Hisar.

Her statement to reporters after a large number of her supporters gathered at her residence asking her to contest the polls has created problems for the saffron party that has fielded sitting MLA and health minister Kamal Gupta from the seat.

Shashi Ranjan Parmar, senior BJP leader from Tosham in Bhiwani district, could not control his emotions and broke down after he was denied ticket. The party has fielded former Bhiwani-Mahendragarh MP Shruti Choudhry from Tosham.

Upset over the denial of ticket from Dabwali, senior BJP leader Aditya Devi Lal resigned from the post of chairman of Haryana State Agriculture Marketing Board. Minister Bishambar Valmiki held a meeting with his supporters who threatened to boycott BJP if the party failed to change the ticket from Bawani Khera. BJP fielded Kapur Valmiki instead of Bishambar who was representing the party for the past 10 years from Bawani Khera in Bhiwani district and was currently a minister in the Saini cabinet.

Similarly, because of the nomination of former JJP MLA Ram Kumar Gautam from Safidon, senior party leader Jasbir Deswal said he will contest as an independent candidate. Apart from these leaders, a number of office bearers and district level leaders have announced that they would quit the party.

In his letter, Karan Dev Kamboj, who is head of BJP's OBC cell, said being a devoted worker he worked to strengthen the party, but it chose to nominate those who caused loss to the organisation.

In his letter to the party chief, Sukhwinder Singh, state head of BJP's Kisan Morcha, resigned from the post as well as party's primary membership. In an online post, ex-minister Kavita Jain's husband and senior BJP leader Rajiv Jain accused the party of ignoring the 'vaisya' community.
