Baby elephant naps on mother's lap: Internet calls it 'pure love wrapped in wrinkles'; retired forest officer shares viral video

A heart-melting video of a baby elephant peacefully sleeping on its mother’s folded legs has taken the internet by storm.

The clip, shared by retired Indian Forest Service officer Susanta Nanda, captures a tender moment that has left wildlife lovers and social media users emotional and smiling in equal measure.

In the video, the calf called “Chotu” is seen lying comfortably on the ground, using its mother’s legs as a makeshift pillow. The adult elephant, too, appears to be at ease, creating a touching portrait of maternal affection in the wild.
