India captain Rohit Sharma said every team in the world wants to beat India and enjoys doing that, but he and his players don't look at that aspect and just go about doing their job, which is what they aim to do in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, beginning September 19 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Speaking at the press conference ahead of the series opener on Thursday, Rohit said: "We had a good camp in Chennai, spent hours and some players went for the Duleep Trophy. So in terms of preparation, we are well prepared."

Answering to a question whether Bangladesh will prove to be tough customers after winning the Test series in Pakistan, Rohit said: "Har team ko India to harane mei maza aata hai (every team enjoys beating India). But we are not bothered about that. It happened during the England series as well earlier this year, but we were focused on our objectives."

The skipper was also also asked if KL Rahul will get a chance in the playing XI despite his recent struggles.

"KL Rahul has got the game to do well in Test cricket , I see no reason he can't be successful in this format," the skipper said.

India will embark on a tour of Australia in November to play a five-Test series, after playing five Tests at home against Bangladesh (2 matches) and New Zealand (3 matches).

With a place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final at stake, Rohit said every match is important.

"Every game is important while playing for the country. It's not a dress rehearsal for the Australia series. There are WTC points to take - need to start the season on high," said Rohit.
