Charlotte Flair apologized to fans after SmackDown in Chicago

Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton exchanged some pretty heated words during their SmackDown in Chicago promo. Despite having a moderator, WWE commentator Wade Barrett, the segment went from okay to what before anyone could even comprehend what was happening. But after the show, the segment received a lot of backlash from fans for going off the rails. And now, Charlotte Flair has seemingly made an apology, but not what fans had assumed.

“After being blindsided by my personal trauma on live television, my character said something on-air that was not true, and I’d like to take this opportunity to clear the air.

I should have NEVER called the Chicago fans smart. I sincerely apologize.”

Flair took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to post this sarcastic tweet after receiving criticism for her DM comments about Stratton's real-life partner, RAW star Ludwig Kaiser. Of course, the Queen wasn't going to simply bow down and admit to something she didn't even consider a mistake.

WrestleMania 41 will see Charlotte Flair go toe to toe against Tiffany Stratton

As she gears up for her next challenge in wrestling, Stratton will be next seen at the Las Vegas SmackDown episode before WrestleMania weekend. Whether Flair will be present for it or not is still up in the air, but the two will definitely be at WrestleMania 41 for the WWE Women's Championship belt.

After winning the 2025 Royal Rumble, Charlotte Flair challenged Stratton for her championship title, and they will be duking it out on the Show of Shows in Las Vegas for a full house audience. WrestleMania 41 is set to take place over the April 19-20 weekend in the City of Lights.
