Kevin Owens is known for his straightforwardness with the microphone in WWE, and this has been a major reason why he’s found it hard to find partners when it comes to wrestling. On the last episode of SmackDown on September 13, Owens was supposed to go up against A Town Down Under in a tag team match, with a partner of his choice.

However, he had a hard time finding someone to team up with him, and ultimately The Viper Randy Orton came to his aid and fought alongside him. However, before Randy could agree, Owens had reached out to multiple Hall of Famers, who promptly refused his offer.

Booker T and Rob Van Dam refused to team up with Kevin Owens at WWE SmackDownIn a digital exclusive after the episode of SmackDown, Kevin Owens appeared alongside Randy Orton to mention everything that transpired leading up to the match. Of the two Hall of Famers that he approached, he said that Booker T refused to pair up with him because he still held a grudge about the comments that Kevin Owens had made about Texas.

When speaking about Rob Van Dam, he said that the high flyer couldn’t team up with him because he was on a different planet, a reference that only Randy Orton understood. While eventually settling down for Rickey from Seattle, but was eventually replaced by WWE’s Apex Predator Randy Orton.

Kevin and Randy have paired up as a team on numerous occasions prior to this so it wasn’t difficult for them to bag the victory. Following the match, the two of them were joined by Rickey from Seattle who then accompanied them to Orton’s bus where Rob Van Dam still was, and claimed that he was on another planet even then.

Overall the encounter was very hilarious but the match was a stellar showing. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller have had a hard time trying to find their footing when it comes to winning matches, so it’ll be interesting to see which team they go up against next, and if they’re eventually able to win a match in spectacular fashion.

As for Kevin Owens and Randy Orton, it’s good to finally see them working together once again. Although it’s likely that they’re not gearing up for the Tag-team titles at this point in time, it’ll be worth seeing what storylines WWE Creative has in store for these two superstars in the coming days.
