Dave Grohl's team refutes viral social media rumour claiming 'Love Child'

A viral Instagram post claiming that Dave Grohl fathered a 'love child' has been confirmed as fake.

Earlier this week, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl announced he had a baby girl outside his marriage. He said he’s working hard to regain the trust of his wife, Jordyn Blum, and their three daughters: Violet, Harper, and Ophelia.

In an Instagram post, he also promised to be a “loving and supportive parent” to the child.

Soon after the announcement, a viral post claimed that Dave Grohl's fourth child was named Roxie Junie Grohl and alleged that the poster was the child's mother. The post included a detailed caption and a photo of a woman holding a newborn's hand.

A representative for Dave Grohl has confirmed to TMZ and NME that the viral post claiming to be about his fourth child is fake. Grohl has not addressed the identity of the child's mother or the child.

Violet and Harper Grohl have recently deactivated their Instagram accounts. Violet, who has gained attention for touring with Foo Fighters and is featured on the band's 2023 song 'Show Me How' from their album But Here We Are, which reflects on the loss of Grohl's mother and drummer Taylor Hawkins.
