'Chhorii 2' X Review: Netizens say Nushrratt Bharuccha' delivered a 'powerhouse performance', Gashmeer Mahajani and Soha Ali Khan also get praised

Nushrratt Bharuccha is back in action with the second part of her popular horror film, and fans can’t stop talking about it. Titled ‘Chhorii 2’, the sequel to the 2021 movie has now been released on OTT platform, and early reactions on X (formerly Twitter) show that the audience is impressed—especially with Nushrratt's powerful performance.

Directed by Vishal Furia, ‘Chhorii 2’ takes the chilling story forward with a darker, more intense twist. The film also features Soha Ali Khan and Gashmeer Mahajani in key roles.

Nushrratt’s acting steals the spotlight
Nushrratt has won hearts with her emotional and fearless performance in the film. Many viewers on social media believe she is the soul of the ‘Chhorii’ series and carried the sequel strongly on her shoulders.

Film critic Sumit Kadel praised her work, saying, “She nailed every emotion, rage, intensity, and pain- so well. The movie is decent, but her acting really lifted the impact. It's not easy to display multiple shades in a character especially in horror films. Well done.”


Another fan commented, “Nushrratt Bharuccha has delivered the powerhouse performance in Chhorii 2. Nushrratt is among those actress who mounted the film on their shoulder single handedly. Chhorii 2 is a dark intense horror film. Must watch.”

Soha Ali Khan and Gashmeer Mahajani make strong entries
While Nushrratt leads the story, Soha Ali Khan’s role as Daasi Maa adds a fresh and haunting layer to the plot. Her character is both powerful and chilling, making her a strong new villain in the series.

Another big highlight is Gashmeer Mahajani, who has received a lot of love from viewers for his warm and natural performance. One user on X wrote, “He is best to play dad or dad like char for kiddos pretty natural!! #GashmeerMahajani #Chhorii2”

Would it have done better in cinemas?
Even though ‘Chhorii 2’ was released on OTT, some fans believe it could have been a big hit in theatres if given the right promotions. Horror movies are gaining popularity again, and this one could have drawn big crowds.

The story continues with a terrifying twist
‘Chhorii 2’ picks up seven years after the events of the first film. Nushrratt’s character, Sakshi, is now a mother to a seven-year-old girl, Ishani. But things take a horrifying turn when Ishani is kidnapped by a dangerous underground tribe. The tribe plans to sacrifice her to please their evil deity.

With only three days left to save her daughter, Sakshi must face deadly dangers, including Daasi Maa—played by Soha Ali Khan—who is the tribe’s high priestess. Sakshi must also defeat a terrifying demon that feeds on souls. If she fails, Ishani could be lost forever.
