Every year on May 6, International No Diet Day shines a spotlight on body positivity and self-acceptance. It’s a day that encourages people to embrace their bodies as they are, without guilt, restriction, or unrealistic standards. In a world where fitness and beauty ideals often overshadow mental and emotional well-being, this day serves as a gentle reminder that health isn't one-size-fits-all. To mark the occasion, Bhagya Lakshmi fame Rohit Suchanti opens up about his relationship with diet, fitness, workouts, cheat meals and body image. Here’s what he has to say.
Rohit Suchanti, who essays the role of Rishi in Bhagya Lakshmi said, “As someone who is deeply passionate about fitness, I’ve always believed in the power of discipline, whether it’s working out regularly or following a structured diet. But over the years, I’ve also learned that being too rigid can take the joy out of living. That’s why I love what International No Diet Day stands for — it’s not about throwing health out the window, but about giving yourself permission to pause, and enjoy food without guilt."
He added, "I eat clean 80% of the time because I feel better when I do, but the other 20% is for the soul. I absolutely love my cheat meals, and if there’s one thing I can never say no to, it's pizza. One habit I swear by is that no matter what, I will always listen to my body. If I feel low on energy, I rest. If I’m craving something, I honour it. So today, let’s celebrate our bodies for all they do — and let go of the pressure to be perfect.”
