Send Push

Ranchi: Ranchi police on Thursday conducted flag march in sensitive areas of the city to send a message to anti-social elements that anyone disrupting law and order would be dealt with strictly and also to build confidence among the masses.

Ranchi SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha said the district police along with two companies each of CRPF and Rapid Action Police have been deployed round the clock during the festive days in the city.

“Static forces have been positioned at large puja pandals. The pandals with no police personnel are being covered by the quick reaction teams,” he added.

Ranchi police have directed people to avoid sharing baseless and objectionable information on social media platforms. Inform police about ant-social elements and online rumour-mongers, against whom strict action would be taken, police appealed to the people.

The administration would deploy around 250 police personnel around Morhabadi ground for Ravan Dahan, which would be held on Vijaya Dashami. Chief minister Hemant Soren, ministers, MLAs and several VIIPs are expected to attend the event. The VIP’s stage would be sanitized using the bomb detection and disposal squad and sniffer dogs. Fire extinguishers and ambulance equipped with medical staff would be available at the venue.
