Prayagraj: Visitors arriving for Maha Kumbh will be able to enjoy sumptuous meals at UP's first floating restaurant built on Yamuna.
Inaugurated by CM Yogi Adityanath in Dec 2023, the floating restaurant will provide a new and unique experience to tourists who can have the best food amid the grandeur of the mega religious event.
A senior tourism department official said: "The state's first floating restaurant was made operational at the Triveni Boat Club in the city by the UP State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) since Dec 2023."
He added, "A similar experiment has also been done in Ramgarh Tal of Gorakhpur."
Deepak Tandon, the front office manager of the restaurant, said Kalindi is a fully air-conditioned restaurant with 40 seats.
"Usually, it is open from 10 am to 9 pm. For Maha Kumbh, authorities are mulling to revise the timing and start it early morning," the official said.
Along with this, UPSTDC is also operating Rahi Triveni Darshan Hotel on Yamuna Bank Road.
