Prayagraj: The process of online application for improvement and compartment in high school and intermediate exams of UP Board will be held between May 19 and June 10.
Applications are to be made on the official website of the Board of Secondary Education, UPMSP.edu.in.
Board secretary Bhagwati Singh said the exam date will be announced later.
"Under the improvement examination in high school, candidates can appear in the exam of one of their failed subjects. Under the compartment system, candidates can appear in the examination of any one of their two failed subjects. The examination fee is fixed at Rs 256," he said.
Singh added that at the same time, candidates of humanities, science, and commerce streams in intermediate who failed in any one subject, any one question paper from the subjects prescribed in agriculture part-1 and part-2, and any one question paper of the trade subject of the vocational stream will be considered eligible to appear in the compartment examination. The examination fee is fixed at Rs 306.
It will be mandatory to deposit the prescribed examination fee in the treasury through challan in the prescribed standard.
Candidates must download the copy of the online filled application for high school improvement/compartment examination and intermediate compartment examination, along with the original copy of the challan, and send it through registered post to the concerned regional office of the council by June 13.
Information regarding the dates of written and practical examinations will be issued separately later.
A total of 2,81,473 candidates are eligible for the improvement examination of high school, and 291 candidates for compartment examination. Region-wise figures for improvement and compartment in high school stands at 53,959 and 44 candidates respectively in the Meerut office, 40,073 and 8 in Bareilly, 76,672 and 92 in Prayagraj, 67,447 and 123 in Varanasi, and 43,322 and 24 candidates in Gorakhpur region.
