Send Push

Pune: The city experienced mild weather over the past 24 hours, with temperatures holding steady near the seasonal norm. Today, on the day of Ganesh Visarjan, Pune is likely to experience a light spell of rain, which will bring pleasant weather but will it hinder the Visarjan process?Pune Weather ForecatsThe India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted weeklong rainfall in Pune, but it is expected to be light, so hopefully, it will not cause any disruption during Ganesh Visarjan. On 16 September, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 30.1 degrees Celsius, just 0.5 degrees Celsius above the usual for this time of year. The minimum temperature dropped to a cooler 18.7 degrees Celsius, dipping 2.0 degrees Celsius below average. Despite these shifts, no rainfall was recorded between 8:30 AM yesterday and 8:30 AM today, keeping the skies dry.Humidity levels were noticeably high, with the morning relative humidity reaching 86 percent, making the early hours feel quite muggy. By evening, the humidity had dropped to 63 percent, offering some relief. Pune residents can expect today’s sunset at 6:35 PM, followed by tomorrow’s sunrise at 6:23 AM. As the day winds down, the moonrise is set for 6:12 PM, with the moon setting early at 5:19 AM tomorrow.Looking ahead, the forecast suggests the city will remain under generally cloudy skies with light rain for the next few days. Temperatures will stay in a comfortable range, with maximums hovering around 30 degrees Celsius and minimums gradually rising from 19 degrees Celsius on 16 September to 22 degrees Celsius by 21 September. From 21 September onwards, more consistent rainfall is expected, with heavier showers predicted to persist through 22 September, bringing a welcome change in the weather. Pune residents should be prepared for slightly wet conditions in the coming week, as the monsoon maintains its presence. Keep an umbrella handy, but with the mild temperatures, it seems the city is in for a comfortable week ahead.
