From Assistant To Lead: Aashu Makes His Directorial Debut With 'Tommy,' Blending Dog Love And Motorcycle Thrills

One more assistant director is set to fulfil his dream to be an independent director in the Kannada film industry. Aashu, who has worked as assistant director to several talented directors in the sandalwood, especially his mentor Abhinaya Chakravarthy Kichcha Sudeepa turns director for his ambitious project titled Tommy.

Director and ActorDirected by Aashu, a long-time assistant to Kichcha Sudeepa, Tommy, the movie promises to be a fresh take on the love for dogs along with other intriguing elements in the film.Aashu had been working as assistant director for over seven years and in Tommy, he steps into the spotlight not only as the director but also as the lead actor.

Tommy also marks his debut as a hero, making his dual role as director and actor a unique aspect of the film. Aashu's experience includes working in films such as Mukunda Murari, Ambi Ning Vayassaytho featuring Rebel Star Ambareesh and Kichcha Sudeepa and Kotigobba 3.

The film is being produced under the banner of Elipaws India Entertainment, with Sachin Shyam Sundar and several friends backing the project. The soundtrack will be composed by Pradyothan. Tommy was recently launched on the occasion of Gowri-Ganesha festival with expectations riding high as one more protege of Kichcha Sudeepa taking up the role of a full-fledged director and as well as an actor in a leading role.
