Your next binge-worthy TV series has arrived. Fans of legendary horror author and Interview with the Vampire writer Anne Rice can't afford to miss out on this show.

The series first came out in 2023 on AMC with a second season premiering earlier this year.

This drama is based on a New York Times Bestseller and features an impressive cast.

Many viewers have already shared their thoughts on the programme on both Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb.

One five-star review on Rotten Tomatoes read: "The show is great. Don't listen to all the contradicting reviews. The story is cool and compelling. Magic is awesome."

Meanwhile, What to Watch wrote: "After setting up a strong foundation in the first season, Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches season 2 is sultry, sexy and scary as hell."

Another person wrote on IMDb: "I didn't read the books so I went in with no expectations. I was looking for something to watch and saw this. I loved this! I've only watched the first episode so far but it set the tone and pace for the season.

"The previews for the rest of the season look really good and it left me excited to see what happens. I love most things witches/vampires/supernatural and I generally like darker/more sinister takes. This show kind of hits those themes. If you're into that, give it a shot!"

A third gave a 10/10 review and commented: "I love supernatural, sci-fi, thrillers this is one of the good ones. We don't have alot [sic] of great shows out there in this category and I appreciate when we do get them and they have taken the time to make it great.

"No show or movie will ever live up to a book but they have done a great job."

A fourth person titled their review: "Take It as Its Own Show, Inspired By the Books" and went on to explain: "It appears the low ratings are coming from people who disagree with how the who deviates from the books. That's unfortunate as it's a pretty decent show.

"There are a few inconsistencies in the quality of acting, VERY rare inconsistencies, however, as most of the actors do a fantastic job in the show, especially the lead actress and the male counterpart who's trying to protect her from the main antagonist.

"All in all, it's an enjoyable show and deserving of a higher score than it's getting from a lot of the "it isn't exactly like the books" reviews on here."

The review concluded: "I definitely recommend this show to anyone who would like a good modern fantasy style show to dive into."

Mayfair Witches has been adapted from Rice's 1990s Lives of the Mayfair Witches trilogy, which is comprised of The Witching Hour (1990), Lasher (1993) and Taltos (1994).

The show follows neurosurgeon Dr. Rowan Fielding (played by Alexandra Daddario), who discovers she's an heiress to a powerful dynasty of witches, who are being hunted by an evil spirit.

The White Lotus and Percy Jackson star is joined by Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' actor Tongayi Chirisa as Ciprien Grieve, Boardwalk Empire's Jack Huston as Lasher, Man Men star Harry Hamlin as Cortland Mayfair, fellow Mad Men alum Ben Feldman as Sam "Lark" Larkin, and Alyssa Jirrels as Moira Mayfair.
