The Chase fans were left utterly stunned after two players stormed to victory despite losing half their team. During Tuesday's visit (October 14) to the ITV studios, host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new hopefuls onto the teatime show. He introduced Helen, Oscar, James, and Leonardo to viewers at home before they put their general knowledge to the test.
This week, the quartet faced Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace, who certainly brought his A-game. First up to the podium was Helen, who scored a respectable £4,000 in the cash-builder round.
Despite suffering a few hairy moments, the lucky quizzer managed to add her winnings to the jackpot and secure her place in the final round. Next up to the podium was Oscar, who immediately won over the audience with his good looks.
But unfortunately, he was no match for the pro-quizzer, who sent him packing. Hoping to break the cycle, James was next in line, where he scored an impressive £5,000 in the cash-builder round.
Unlike his former teammate, he managed to bank his winnings and secure his spot in the final. Determined to follow in his footsteps, the final player, Leonardo, stunned viewers with his impressive general knowledge.
After earning £9,000 in the cash-builder, he seemed like a done deal to join the rest of the team in the final. But the player suffered some silly mistakes in the nail-biting head-to-head round, which saw him booted from the competition.

Fans were convinced the team of two would have no shot at taking home their £9,000 winnings in the final race, despite correctly answering 15 questions in two minutes. But the pair surpassed everyone's expectations when they beat the Chaser after successfully completing four of the six pushbacks needed.
It was at this point that viewers flocked to X - formerly known as Twitter - to share their surprise at the team's win and concerns for Shaun's future on the show. One user penned: "Seriously, how is Shaun still a Chaser? This has to be some kind of joke," as another quipped: "Shaun's already on his fifth and final written warning."
A third echoed: "He didn't even know that chroma key is green screen? Gave away 4 pushbacks in a row, one of which was a pass. Shaun really is awful. The worst Chaser by far." Meanwhile, others shared their concern for the star, adding: "I worry about Shaun, he seems to lose more times than the other chasers. I like him, I hope they don't let him go."
The Chase airs on weekdays from 5pm on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
