SAS Who Dares Wins fans ask same question after first celebrity quits show

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins viewers were left with a burning question after actor John Barrowman quit the show just 32 minutes into the first episode. The 57-year-old star arrived at base camp alongside other celebrities, including Boris Johnson's sister Rachel and Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks, all participating in SAS winter warfare training in New Zealand's southern islands.

The gruelling challenges and emotional discussions often push the stars to their limits, leaving them teary-eyed and on the brink of quitting.

However, Barrowman, who addressed the flashing allegations he faced in 2021 while on the show, was seen vomiting after the first challenge and subsequently decided to leave.

As the contestants settled into base camp and donned their uniforms, they prepared to see their accommodation. But Barrowman began retching and told his co-stars, "I'm out".

Mark 'Billy' Billingham offered to get him medical help, but Barrowman declined, stating, "No... I'm done."

He further explained, "I just... it's not for me, I know who I am and what I'm about, it's not for me," reports the Mirror.

The programme's narrator then confirmed, "After only 32 minutes on base, number 13 John is the first recruit to leave the course."

Fans of the show quickly took to social media to speculate whether Barrowman would still receive payment for his brief appearance on the show, given that he didn't last through the first day.

One viewer expressed their disappointment on social media, saying: "#saswhodareswins hope they didn't pay Barrowman for that pathetic excuse."

Another chimed in with frustration: "#SASWhoDaresWins oh f*** off 32 minutes and jacked it, does he get paid for that and a free trip to New Zealand."

A third suggested: "#SASWhoDaresWins Anyone who bails early doors should only get a percentage of their fee."

One fan couldn't hide their disbelief: "Can't believe someone would get out that early. Get back up and give it another go. Been there 5 minutes #SASWhoDaresWins", yet another exclaimed: "Fastest quit ever #SASWhoDaresWins".
