Meghan Markle has lost her tenth publicist in the space of five years, with Emily Robinson having only worked for the royal since June. The decision to hire Emily, who previously worked for Netflix, is said to be been controversial due to the fact she had worked on The Crown.
Last year, Josh Kettler, who acted as the couple's Chief of Staff, left his role after three months. He later described his exit as a mutual decision, with sources indicating that the job "wasn't the right fit".
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward has now claimed that she may have figured out why the couple appear to lose staff within a few months of hiring them.
She told The Sun: "It must be quite chaotic working for the Sussexes. They've lost so many staff.
"It's not that the staff stay for any length of time. They seem to make very brief appearances and then leave."
Discussing why the staff appear to leave so quickly, she added: "It's obvious the job they're expected to do is not the job they imagined they would have.
"And it looks to me as if Meghan is disagreeing with what they imagined [the Sussexes] should be doing."
Discussing Meghan, she added: "It seems to me that Meghan wants to control everything, so they certainly make some quite major PR errors."
Those remaining on the Sussex team include Liam Maguire, the director of communications in Europe, and Meredith Maines, the couple's chief communications officer.
Meredith met with the King's press secretary, Tobyn Andreae, earlier this summer. This encounter is thought to have help bring together the meeting between the King and Harry.
