The has officially invited YouTube golfer Grant Horvat to be part of the field at the Barracuda Championship in Reno, Nevada later this year. However, he is unsure whether he will compete at this stage and has called on his loyal following for advice.

Horvat finds himself in the heart of the -PGA Tour rift as a result of the invitation, having been a key promoter of LIV and creating content around the breakaway league. But he also won the PGA Tour's creator event last month, meaning he has allegiances with both divisions.

Horvat has spoken openly about how the pressure of such events has led to him overthinking certain shots, but while speaking to The Smylie Show, he insisted that he has faith in his ability and feels he is capable of holding his own.

He explained: "So I recently got an invite into the Barracuda. It's really cool, but I don't know where I'm at right now on it. I truly believe in my game, and I think I'm not going to shoot some crazy high score.

"But I'll tell you one thing, when you play with the pros, you just realise how much better they are. They're so good at golf. Yeah, I'll hit a lot of high-quality golf shots, but it's truly another level."

Horvat tweeted about his Barracuda invite too, writing: "I got invited to play a PGA Tour event. Truly on the fence, should I play?"

The 26-year-old has grown an immense following online, with 844k followers on Instagram and 1.15million subscribers on YouTube and over 175million views. The influencer has competed in eight Minor League Golf Tour events since 2020 as well, with his rise on social media platforms opening up significant opportunities.

Horvat has collaborated on videos with some of the biggest names in the world of golf, including Tiger Woods, and was also among those to compete in The Duels at Trump National Doral - broadcasting the nine-hole scramble event on his own channel. As a result, many feel that he should take the opportunity offered to him despite his growing connection with LIV Golf. Sportskeeda report that the golf star earned his invitation through the 'sponsor's exemption category'.
