has hit back at suggestions he could make a big-money transfer to , insisting he's happy at McLaren and has his sights set on the next two years.

Few drivers have enjoyed a better second half to the season than Piastri, who has climbed out of ' shadow and given his team-mate a run for his own money.

Since the Austrian Grand Prix in the summer, Piastri has made the podium six times - a run that includes two Grand Prix victories.

It's a major improvement on the 2023 season, with Piastri managing just one podium finish compared to his overall seven this time around.

As a result, the rumour mill has been swirling with suggestions Piastri could look to lave McLaren for pastures new while his stock is still high.

Red Bull have been touted, with question marks still hanging over the futures of both Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen.

Perez's form has left a lot to be desired in recent races, whereas Verstappen, who is on course for a fourth straight world title, has been touted as a potential Aston Martin signing.

But when quizzed about the Red Bull links, Piastri responded: "I'm very happy where I am. I'm under contract for the next two years after this, and I'm certainly not looking to go anywhere else.

"It wouldn't be an F1 week without comments from Helmut [Marko]."

The comments the Australian referenced came from Red Bull's master puppeteer Helmut Marko,

It's suggested by Marko that McLaren's team director, Mark Webber, is pushing for negotiations with Red Bull, as they'd be able to land a hefty fee for Piastri's mid-contract departure.

But insight into where Piastri's next move could take him might've already been given by rival Verstappen, who believes he's too good to be a number two driver.

Speaking to , the Dutchman said: "For me, he's [Piastri] definitely not a [number two driver] and if I was him I would never accept it.

"It's easy to talk, of course, because I've been in Formula One for 10 years and it's Oscar's second season, so it is always harder to put your foot down.

"But he's just a great F1 driver who doesn't deserve it to give up wins and positions and play second fiddle because he's asked to."

Stern words and ones that suggest Piastri should only accept a move if it means he'll be the main driver on the constructors' ticket.
