M6 traffic LIVE: Major motorway closed as huge crash overturns lorry

A huge section of the M6 has been closed following a serious crash that saw a lorry cross through a central reservation and overturn. National Highways has warned drivers to expect delays and wrote on X: "#M6 both ways between J15 #StokeonTrent and J16 #Talke #Staffordshire.

"ROAD CLOSED due to a collision involving a lorry which has crossed through the central reservation and overturned." The National Highways website also says: "The M6 in Staffordshire is closed in both directions between J15 (Stoke-on-Trent) and J16 (Crewe) following a serious collision. All emergency services including Staffordshire Police are in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene assisting with traffic management."
