This has led to a clear indication that "the intervention of third parties would be ruled out," during the stark moments leading up to Liam's fatal fall.

Nevertheless, officials are reported to be considering two potential charges relating to the horrific events of Wednesday night. These criminal charges could be for both the "supply of narcotics and facilitating a place for their consumption."

The British Embassy in Argentina has acknowledged it is in contact with local authorities, confirming: "We are supporting the family of Liam Payne, who died in Argentina, and we are in contact with local authorities."
