David Beckham 'fed up' with Man Utd and warns dressing room about breaking unwritten rule

David Beckham pulled no punches when asked about Manchester United's current form, claiming he's "fed up" with Ruben Amorim's side. The Red Devils suffered yet another humiliating defeat at the hands of bitter rivals Manchester City on Sunday, losing 3-0 to Pep Guardiola's side.

Bar the odd half-chance here and there, United barely landed a punch on their cross-city neighbours, with goals from Erling Haaland and local star Phil Foden doing the damage. Once upon a time, it was United who boasted the homegrown heroes in their ranks, with Beckham chief amongst them.

The former England captain didn't hold back when assessing the United performance against City, telling CBS: "Being an ex-player and a fan I would hope that they are hurting like we are as fans. And I'm sure they are, because they're not going out there not wanting to win games."

He continued by warning the squad about an unwritten rule they must adhere to: "They've just come up against a team like Manchester City at Manchester City. And when you lose a game like that, you don't go out for a while, because if you do, you'll just bump into United fans.

"And like I said, as a United fan, I'm kinda fed up with watching these games and seeing what we're seeing. United fans are growing restless as another season threatens to spiral."

It's reported that the United hierarchy have given Amorim three games to save his job, after just 31 points from 31 Premier League matches. Since taking charge in November, only teams that were relegated last season, or promoted this, have fewer points than the three-time European Champions.

Two more members of United's Class of '92, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes, were also quick to blast their former club. Butt said on podcast: "If he wants to get results and keep his job in the long run, he is going to have to bite the bullet and change a bit - otherwise they'll keep losing games."

Whereas Scholes added: "There's nobody in there to take responsibility, there's experienced players there but nobody gets a grip of it. They're like robots."

United's only win this season came against recently-promoted Burnley, which, even then, United required a 97th-minute penalty to salvage a victory at Old Trafford. It doesn't get much easier for United this weekend, with Chelsea the visitors on Saturday evening, while a tricky trip to Brentford is set to follow after that.
