The Traitors star Paul Gorton has revealed that Claudia Winkleman gets "genuinely p***ed off" by the Faithfuls when hosting the show. The BBC murder mystery returned with a bang last week, and it certainly didn't disappoint as millions of viewers tuned in for the highly anticipated launch show. In what has been called the best decision in TV history, the Strictly star appointed Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr, and singer Cat Burns as this year's Celebrity Traitors.
So far on the show, the Faithfuls have yet to banish a Traitor from Ardross Castle despite four Faithfuls being eliminated from the show. And it's fair to say that the broadcaster certainly didn't mince her words as she shared her disappointment after Tameka Empson was banished on Wednesday (October 15).
Now, former Traitor, Paul, has given viewers an insight into what it's like to be on the receiving end of Claudia's wrath on the show. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, he confessed that there is no better host than Claudia.
He told us: "There is no better presenter than Claudia. You need someone who can be lovely but also someone who will tell you off a bit. When she throws the murdered picture of someone in the bin, she would tell you off a few times.
"She'd say, 'You're rubbish at this, Faithfuls, the Traitors are winning'. Sometimes she'd give you that wake-up call, and you could feel it. You really do get told off a little bit."
Despite being a Traitor, Claudia's frustration still lit a fire within him to work harder, which his castmates certainly resonated with. He added: "The Faithfuls got an earful and, obviously, you have to pretend to be a Faithful when you're in the room, so you feel it as well, even as a Traitor.

"I think there was a big gap, maybe two or three episodes, where they didn't find a Traitor and Claudia genuinely looked p***ed off. She was genuinely like, 'Guys, you haven't found a Traitor. You are losing here; they are winning. They are laughing at you'. And it does feel like, 'Oh, I'm getting told off here'.
"And when you look around the room, no one's being the naughty school kid and laughing and not taking it seriously. You lose all knowledge of the world and go into the castle pure. You are encapsulated in that world."
It comes after Jonathan Ross pulled the ultimate triple bluff when the Traitors decided to 'murder' Ruth Codd during Thursday's instalment (October 16) of the BBC show.
The decision came as another controversial death on the show after Tom Daley was killed, both of which put a lot of heat on Jonathan Ross. This is sure to cause more frustrations for the Faithfuls, and Claudia will no doubt have plenty to say on the matter.
Celebrity Traitors airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9pm on BBC One or catch up on BBC iPlayer.
