An soap legend looked unrecognisable as he made an appearance in a new thrilling TV series - over 20 years since his exit.
Alex Ferns shot to fame playing Trevor Morgan on the BBC One soap EastEnders - making his debut in 2000. Playing bad guy Trevor, the character was once dubbed the UK's "most-hated soap villain."
He is famed for abusing his wife Little Mo (Kacey Ainsworth), who eventually went on to hit him with an iron to protect herself in one of the most iconic scenes on the soap.
Trevor ended up getting killed off in 2002 when he was killed in a fire in the house he shared with Mo. However, 24 years on and actor Alex was back on screens recently for a brand new TV drama.
Nightsleeper made its premiere on Sunday night (September 15). Starring Peaky Blinders' Joe Cole, the six-part series follows a group of passengers aboard a sleeper train travelling from Glasgow to London.
Things take a dramatic turn when the train gets hijacked, with those on board forced to do everything they can to save themselves before time runs out.
Penned by BAFTA-winning writer Nick Leather, who also crafted Mother's Day and The Control Room, Nightsleeper is packed with "personal intrigue, political manoeuvring and danger".
And one of the passengers on board was Alex's character, Arran Moy. And it didn't take long for viewers watching Nightsleeper to spot him on the show.
On X, one person said: "Isn't that Evil Trevor from EastEnders. Someone else replied: "That's him. It was bugging me."
A third chimed in on the social media platform and penned: "Good to see Trevor from Eastenders on this." Meanwhile, another person mused: "Is that Trevor from Eastenders??"
Alex appears alongside a star-studded cast in BBC's Nightsleeper. Off-duty police officer Joe Roag, who is on board the hijacked sleeper train, is played by actor Joe Cole. Meanwhile other stars include The Bay's Sharon Small, Jack Ryan's James Cosmo, The Devil's Hour star Alex Ferns and Vigil actress Lois Chimimba.
