6 fans are counting down to the release of the Nuketown map for the new .
Having first appeared all the way back in 2010, the fan-favourite Nuketown map joins Black Ops 6 just a week after launch.
Indeed, the Black Ops 6 Nuketown map has a November 1 release date and a 5pm GMT UK launch time.
The release of the Nuketown map will coincide with the launch of a Double XP event, which runs from November 1 until November 4.
In addition to Double XP, Activison is giving fans the chance to double Weapon XP, as well as increased GobbleGum in Zombies.
The new version of Nuketown is said to be an exact replica of the original, albeit with vastly improved visuals.
Indeed, according to Activision, the placement of parked vehicles and other scenery hearkens back to the original three-lane design.
"This is Nuketown in its most original form, with a bright and bleached desert landscape, and even a double rainbow to gaze at, taking you all the way back to where it all began," Activision explains.
The map itself is centred around the bus and container truck, where most of the combat takes place.
Players can also use the interiors of the houses to pick off stragglers, and potentially respawning players.
"That is provided you're not put off by the dead gaze of the plastic people inhabiting the cul-de-sac on the corner of Latchkey Road and Trinity Avenue," Activision continues.
To celebrate the return of Nuketown, Activision will introduce a 24/7 playlist for the popular map.
Nuketown joins Black Ops 6 just a couple of days after the release of the Infected mode for Halloween.
The aim of Infected is to survive and not become infected by another player until the timer runs out.
"For new and returning players, an Infected match begins with one player randomly assigned as the starting infected.
"The infected player's goal is to eliminate all other players. Each time a survivor is eliminated, they will join the ranks of the undead, while the remaining survivors must keep the horde at bay until the match timer runs out."
