Mumbai: Star kid Khushi Kapoor revealed in a recent one-on-one with ETimes that she opted for cosmetic beauty procedures to enhance her look as she wasn’t born with great features.
“I wasn’t born like this, but I’ve always been honest about it. I’ve always tried to be honest and open about whatever I’m getting done. If someone wishes to get work done, it is their choice, and they should do what suits them,” she shared.
“Getting work done and lying about it is unfair to younger girls who look up to you, because then they think, ‘Oh, I don’t look like that; why can’t I’?” Khushi opined.
She added, “People who question my decisions would have judged me either way. There is no real way to win in these kinds of discussions, so to have peace of mind, one should own up to their decision and worry less about what people will say.”
In an earlier interview with Curly Tales, Khushi had said, “I don’t think it (cosmetic surgery) is such a big deal. The main issue is that people are scared that they will get hate if they come out and admit it. People think that the term ‘plastic’ is the biggest insult you can give someone, but I don’t think it’s bad if someone gets work done and stuff like that.”
