Directorate of Medical Education and Training Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, has started registration for the third round of National Eligibility Entrance Test Under Graduate (UP NEET UG) Counseling 2024. The registration link has been activated on the official website upneet.gov.in from 2 pm today.

PROCEDURE FOR CHOICE FILING
Candidates will first have to register for the third round of counselling. After this, the merit list will be released for choice filing, in which students will be able to select the college and course of their choice.

To attend counselling, students will need the following documents:

Security deposit details: Candidates who did not accept the seat allotted in the second UP NEET UG 2024 can now re-deposit the security deposit to appear in Round 3. The security deposit amount is Rs 30,000 for government colleges, Rs 2 lakh for private medical colleges, and Rs 1 lakh for private dental colleges.
Center's appeal to Supreme Court: Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has sought three weeks' time from the Supreme Court. During this time period, a committee has been constituted to submit its report on the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the examination process. This committee will investigate the alleged irregularities in the conduct of the NEET UG exam.
