Those who fought for the country defeated their opponents on the mat and won medals for India. Now they themselves are face to face in a verbal battle. Sakshi Malik made the first attack and now Babita Phogat has retaliated. Sakshi Malik had made revelations in her book and accused Babita Phogat of conspiring. She had said that Babita wanted to become the President of the Wrestling Federation of India, for which she had done this.
Babita Phogat has now retaliated on the allegations made by Sakshi Malik. On the morning of 23 October, Babita Phogat wrote on her ex-handle that Didi, you did not get anything. We can understand your pain. You sold your integrity in order to sell the book. This is Babita's first reaction after Sakshi's allegations.
The most special thing about this post made by Babita Phogat was that she expressed her views without naming Sakshi Malik. In fact, Sakshi herself had called Babita the mastermind behind the movement in her book, so it was not difficult to understand who this post was for.
Sakshi Malik, along with Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia, launched a protest against WFI President Brij Bhushan Singh at Jantar Mantar last year. According to Sakshi, that protest was held at the behest of Babita. If Sakshi is to be believed, Babita had her own agenda involved in that protest. She wanted to remove Brij Bhushan Singh and become the president herself.
Sakshi Malik has recently released a book titled Witness. In this book, apart from making serious allegations against Babita Phogat, she has also exposed her friends Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia. According to Sakshi, due to the selfish decisions of Vinesh and Bajrang, the performance of the wrestlers did not benefit.
