Love Islandstar Shakira Khan has blamed the edit process for making her come across badly to viewers. The reality TV star, 22, who was named as runner-up alongside her partner Harry Cooksley, claimed that she was constantly made to feel like a "villain" while on the show.
In an interview with Fabulous magazine, Shakira explained: "We constantly felt like villains. Every chance they got, they tried to kill us off."
And in support of Shakira, Toni Laites added: "During the first public vote, Shakira and I were both in the bottom. We spent weeks thinking that it was us against the world, because that’s how everyone in there made us feel.”
Shakira, Yasmin and Toni felt that they were constantly at loggerheads with the rest of the villa, to the point where some of the poor behaviour by the lads went unnoticed.

Shakira continued: "The girls were so busy going at each other that the boys would get away with whatever they wanted to. They’d say: ‘Let’s not interrupt this because the heat’s not on us'."
In agreement, Toni chimed in: "A lot of us really just didn’t get along.
For weeks and weeks, there were no solid couples, because no one could even stand to speak to each other! We spent weeks thinking that it was us against the world, because that’s how everyone in there made us feel."
One of Shakira's memorable fall outs was with her villa co-stars Helena and Meg.
Speaking about the fight between them, she told the Mirror: "What it stems from is on day one or day two I was put in a position where I had to graft and so was deemed as a threat."
She added: "From then on, I was treated differently. We sort of flocked together. When you are a threat to someone's relationship you are not going to be the best of pals."
Just days before the final of the ITV2 show, Shakira and Meg told each other that they will never be friends on the outside world.
And this prompted fans to rush to social media to comment.
One person wrote: "Why aren’t they showing when Meg kept talking bad about Shakira? It’s not fair that Shakira is getting all this heat because of what was shown yet Meg gets off Scott free producers do better!!!!!"
Another person added: "so what’s your beef with Toni & Shakira?"
Throughout this year's series TV regulator Ofcom received thousands of complaints from viewers regarding various reasons. In one week, 9,000 people complained that Shakira was being bullied.
