Grand National 2025 drinks prices as Aintree racegoers face paying through the nose

The kicks off at on Thursday, and the prices that racegoers will have to pay for drinks, including Guinness and prosecco, have been revealed. Numerous bars are scattered across the iconic course, offering fans a range of different options depending on their favourite tipple.

In addition to the regular options, the course is also offering a series of deals, including substantial discounts for early birds. The event organisers have introduced several incentives to maximise value-for-money offerings . One of the changes for this year includes a 20 per cent discount on all food and drink for the first hour after .

Alcoholic drinks on offer at Aintree include Madri, priced at £7.80 a pint - the same as other lager selections, ales, and cider. Guinness, on the other hand, is available for £7.30. Wine will cost £9.50 per 175ml glass, whereas a bottle of prosecco will set you back £46. Spirits have been set at £6.75 per 25ml, and other soft drinks and mixers can be purchased.

New meal deals will also be available at all retail food points, offering a main meal or sandwich, a snack, and a hot or cold drink at bundled prices - an initiative designed to improve convenience and ensure racegoers can quickly grab a bite and return to the action.

For those looking to toast the occasion in style, there will be special drink offers available. On Ladies Day, prosecco lovers can enjoy a £10 discount on bottles, while on Grand National Day itself, the same reduction will apply to bottles of champagne.

This year, 34 runners will be selected to compete in the iconic Grand National, tackling the four miles and two-and-a-half furlongs steeplechase, leaping over a total of 30 fences in the hopes of making history. The meeting runs for three days, with the main event scheduled for 4pm on Saturday, April 5. Ahead of the meet, the have disclosed just how much beverages will cost.
