Perrie Edwards recently spoke with Paul C. Brunson, during which time she opened up about her childhood, personal life and thriving career. During the honest conversation, the Little Mix singer revealed she suffered a tragic miscarriage for the second time in her life three years ago.
The 32-year-old, who shares son Axel with footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, told the host it felt like an 'out of body experience' as she opened up about the 'worst day of her life'. Elsewhere during the podcast, Perrie discussed her agoraphobia as well as her relationship with former bandmate, Jesy Nelson.
After Jesy, 34, quit the band in 2020, citing mental health reasons, it also marked the end of their friendship. It comes after Taylor Swift sparks engagement rumours as fans spot Travis Kelce's lock screen.

Here, The Mirror take a look at all the biggest bombshells made during the interview with Celebs Go Dating expert Paul...
Tragic miscarriagesPerrie opened up about the devastating miscarriage they suffered less than a year after Axel’s birth. “We went for what was a 20-week scan, but we were actually 22 weeks, and that was just the worst day of my life. Like horrendous.
"And I just knew something was wrong in the scan, and [the doctor] just kept going over the same thing, over the same thing... I've never experienced an out-of-body experience where everything goes in slow motion,” said Perrie.
Perrie continued: "So then I remember sobbing. [Alex] was injured at the time and he couldn't really drive. He was struggling to drive, but I couldn't see straight. I was just distraught. And yeah, we basically lost the baby at like 24 weeks.”
It wasn't her first experience with losing a child as the singer called Axel a "rainbow baby" after losing a baby during her first pregnancy.
"I had a miscarriage very early on with my first ever pregnancy, and it was so early. I remember finding out I was pregnant. Obviously, I started bleeding not long after, and I went to the hospital and I had the scan and they were like, 'There's no baby.'"
She said the second experience with a miscarriage really hit home. "When you're fully, like carrying in your 24 weeks and you've planned out like that room and all these things, it's really hard," Perrie said.
"And nobody knows other than, like, immediate friends and family. And I remember, like, shortly after, like, friends would message and be like, ‘how's the bump?’ And I'll be like, there is no bump."
'Toxic' Zayn romanceDuring the chat, Paul and Perrie discuss her relationship with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik. "We were engaged to be married, but when I look back now, it was a little bit toxic," Perrie tells the podcast host.
When Paul asks her how she got through the heartbreak, the Shout Out to My Ex singer shares: "The girls. It was really hard to have relationships because we were never home. And I remember it came out in the press that I was seeing Alex. And my dad, he was just fuming.
"My brother was fuming. You've just dated a boy band member who's completely shattered your soul. And now you're going for a footballer. And I was like, I think I love him. Alex and I have been through a lot."
Panic attacksPerrie said her panic attacks left her struggling in many moments. She said she couldn't leave the house in September and remembered thinking to herself that "this is not what I want for my life".
Her panic disorder got so bad that she wondered how it would affect her career. She explained: "Whereas with work and stuff, I thought, is it even worth it for me anymore? I don't know if it is like, I don't want to feel that way every time I leave the house and go to work."
The singer goes to therapy every Friday, and she admitted to her therapist how she sometimes 'feels a bit trapped' when she's anxious, while sitting in a car, or if she's in certain situations.
"We kind of discovered that my whole upbringing and my whole childhood were in a body that wasn't working, and that must have felt like it was almost a little bit claustrophobic being in a body that wasn't doing the right functions. But I couldn't escape it, and I couldn't help it," the singer added.
Perrie's recovery process saw her going to the shop for short moments and returning not long after to 'remind her nervous system' that she's safe.
Jesy Nelson friendship
When Jesy left Little Mix in 2020, she told fans in a statement: "The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard."
She went on to share how she always felt like the 'odd one out' in the girl band and could no longer cope with being compared to her bandmates to the point she was having panic attacks on the sets of music videos.
The singer said: "I didn't look how I wanted to look and I found it so hard to just be happy and enjoy myself. I looked at the other three and they were having the time of their life.
"I get so jealous, because I want to feel like that and enjoy it, because music is my passion. To have this dream and not be enjoying it because of what I look like, I knew wasn't normal."
In her chat with Paul, Perrie shared a rare commentabout their friendship at the start of their Little Mix journey in 2011.
Speaking about the power of female friendships, the mum-of-one shared: "I remember singing in front of Jesy for the first time, and she was like, ‘Oh my God, you are like Christina Aguilera.'
"And I was like 'Whoa!' She was like, 'Listen to her sing. Listen to her sing!' And she was gathering people around me like, 'Sing, babe sing.' And I was like, 'Oh my God.' And she just made me feel amazing."
