Elon Musk's estranged daughter has revealed she does not "have a lot of money" despite her dad's estimated $400billion (£298bn) net worth.
Vivian Wilson, 21, said she is living in Los Angeles without drawing on financial support from the SpaceX CEO, the world's richest man in the world. She instead lives with three housemates as it is "cheaper" and is considering whether she can financially support herself through community college this autumn.
Vivian said she does not want to be "superrich" like her dad, although she appreciated she has money to afford food with "some expendable left over." She acknowledged this is "much more fortunate than most people my age in Los Angeles."

Speaking to The Cut, she said: "People assume I have a lot of money. I don't have hundreds of thousands of dollars at my disposal.
"My mom is rich, right? But obviously the other one [Musk]… is unimaginable degrees of wealthy." Vivian is the oldest of her dad's 14 children.
She had an infamous falling out with the billionaire, branding him a "pathetic man-child" after she transitioned to change her gender and change her surname in 2022, just days after she turned 18.
She has since made several public statements hitting out at Musk after he endorsed and funded Donald Trump during the 2024 Presidential Election. Musk, himself, spoke out about Vivian's transition, stating what happened to his family "evil."

He claimed: "I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older [kids]. This was really before I had any understanding of what was going on, and we had COVID going on, so there was a lot of confusion."
The billionaire said he believed his daughter was "killed by the woke mind virus." Musk said in an interview back in 2020 his relationship with Vivian "may change" before he claimed to have "good relationships" with all of his other children.
He also told his biographer his attempts at winning Vivian over had not been successful. Musk previously said: "I've made many overtures, but she doesn't want to spend time with me."
