Crocodile Dundee legend reveals plans for death and iconic location he wants ashes scattered

Paul Hogan has candidly opened up on death and how he sees it panning out for him. The Crocodile Dundee legend, 85, has admitted he plans to return home before he dies.

The Australian, who starred as the iconic Mick Dundee, set up home in Los Angeles in the nineties but anticipates returning Down Under. And it's in his native land where he'd love his ashes to be spread following his death.

The veteran star went as far as saying he hopes to return to Australia "as soon as he possibly can" such is his keenness to spend his final moments in his home country.

Speaking to 7NEWS in Australia, the Hollywood star said: "I want to die here. I am antique now, time just slips away." Despite having a wry smile on his face, he continued: "'I want my ashes scattered off the Harbour Bridge. Put that in my will."

At present, Paul is set on staying stateside to help for son Chance, 27, build his career. He called his son "troubled".

"He's still trying to build his career up, and as soon as he does I will be back here," Paul said. "Unless he comes with me, I will be back sooner."

In recent months, Chanceleft his social media followers concerned after a string of alarming posts. Earlier in the year, he took to social media to share a video of himself drunk as he begged for somebody to "kill" him. In the upload, he sipped on wine as he said "This is my life."

Speaking on the Today Show in May, Paul was asked about Chance. he admitted he was "alright. Better than he gets." The actor went on to say: "He gets a lot of tabloid stuff, but he's a terrible person because he knows they're watching him and he puts something on for them."

Despite Chance's alarming social media posts, Paul told the Daily Mail last December: "It's a lot of made up stuff and a lot of it he (Chance) does on purpose."

While Paul made the confessions, sources claimed his son could give him his blessing for the move. "Paul felt healthier than he had in months, and even Chance agreed that Australia had been good for them both,'" a source told New Idea.

In January, Paul made a rare appearance as he celebrated the reboot of classic series Crocodile Dundee. He walked the red carpet at the premiere and donned a stylish brown leather jacket over a black shirt and matching jeans. He opted for a leather belt and black trainers to complete the look as he posed for cameras at the event.
