One should eat facing east or north, as these directions are associated with prosperity, health and divine blessings.
Method of Eating
One should never cover one's head while eating, as doing so is considered disrespectful to Mother Annapurna, the goddess of food and nourishment. Additionally, eating while wearing shoes or slippers is seen as disrespecting food, and can also disturb the divine forces.
It is also advised not to eat while sitting on the bed, as this can lead to financial instability and increase the chances of taking on debt.
