A shocking case has come to light in Chakeri, Kanpur, the industrial capital of Uttar Pradesh. Here a young man died under suspicious circumstances. His wife had gone to her maternal home with the children. After returning from her maternal home in a hurry, the wife informed the police that her husband had been murdered. On receiving the information, the police reached the crematorium directly and extinguished the burning pyre by pouring water. After that the half-burnt body was sent for post-mortem.
According to the information, Sohan Lal Dwivedi (32), who lived in Sanigwan of Chakeri police station area, was an electrical mechanic. He has a wife Neelam and three daughters at home. Sohan's younger brother Gyani alias Mohan also lives with his family in the same house. Neelam said that she originally hails from Gaya district of Bihar. A few days ago she had gone to her maternal home. On April 9, she got the information that her husband had died. When he did not get up from bed in the morning, his brother Gyani, who lived with him, saw him and came to know about it. After this, wife Neelam reached home with her three children and her brother Pradeep on the night of April 10.
While lifting the body, the wife saw blood flowing from his head
The wife alleges that her husband died in suspicious circumstances. There are marks of serious injury on his head. After lifting the body, blood was oozing from his head. When they investigated this matter, the husband's death came to light as a suspicious case. Here the family members hurriedly took the body to Siddhnath Ghat in Jajmau and started the last rites of the body. By the time the deceased's wife and brother-in-law informed the police, the brother put the body on the pyre and set it on fire. Soon the police arrived and the pyre was extinguished by pouring water. After this, the body was taken into custody and sent for postmortem.
A similar case had come up in Sonipat last year
Last year, on receiving information about the murder of an 11th class student in Sonipat, the police reached the cremation ground and got the half-burnt body removed after extinguishing the pyre fire. After the death under suspicious circumstances, the relatives were performing the last rites. The police had received secret information that the teenager had been murdered, after which the police called the fire brigade and extinguished the pyre fire and took the body into custody and sent it to Khanpur Medical for postmortem.
