Here's How Netizens Are Reacting:
Netizens are slamming the decision given by the court while some are relating it with their school experiences when beating students wasn't considered as a crime. One user wrote, "A teacher has the right to punish the disobedient students. Previously PT teachers used to make students kneel in scorching heat even if they missed tucking their shirt or were late to school by 5 minutes. That fear instilled discipline. But nowadays it has become a crime..very sad."

Another user wrote, "That way our teachers would have got lifetimes in fine. For some reason, getting beatings wasn’t a problem then. I sometimes think if I studied because I feared my teachers.. either way I only have good memories of the beatings too.."

Another user commented, "What rubbish rule is this, they used to slap us until their hand started paining." While another commented, "This judgment is absurd. A slap doesn't warrant jail and a ₹1 lakh fine. There are far bigger crimes going unpunished. Priorities are clearly messed up."
If this judge had been during my childhood then my math sir would have paid nearly 30lakhs at the end of academic 🤣🤣
