In a sensational revelation in the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Anil Parab has alleged that a dance bar in Mumbai’s Kandivali area is being operated under the name of Jyoti Kadam, the mother of Minister of State for Home, Yogesh Kadam.
Raising the issue during a recent proposal in the Legislative Council, Parab stated that the bar, named "Sawali Dance Bar," was raided by Unit 12 and Samta Nagar police, during which 22 bar girls, 22 customers, and four employees were detained. He added that a case has been registered against the customers and that a detailed panchnama was conducted by the police, including videography of the obscene activities taking place at the bar.
"It has been found that the bar’s license is in the name of Jyoti Ramdas Kadam, who is the mother of the Minister of State for Home," Parab claimed on the floor of the Council. "Despite the ban on dance bars, how is this establishment still operating?" he questioned.
Parab demanded the immediate resignation of Yogesh Kadam, saying, "On one hand, you claim to uphold the blessings of your dear sister, and on the other, you make mothers and sisters dance in bars. The Chief Minister must act and seek Kadam’s resignation today itself. If no action is taken, it will be clear that the government is protecting him."
He further alleged a serious conflict of interest, asking, “Yogesh Kadam is the Minister of State for Home. Instead of shutting down such bars, is it appropriate that his family is linked to one? Isn’t this a clear conflict of interest?”
Parab recalled how the late NCP leader R. R. Patil had cracked down on dance bars to prevent youth from going astray. “But today, the MoS Home is allegedly running one. This bar also acts as a pickup point for bar girls,” he said.
Launching a scathing attack on the government, Parab added, “It is shameful. People in Bihar are now asking if Maharashtra has become the new Bihar. If laws are being trampled on by the very people responsible for upholding them, what does that say about the Chief Minister's leadership?”
Yogesh Kadam and the government have not yet officially responded to the allegations.

While responding to allegations made by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anil Parab, Minister of State Yogesh Kadam strongly denied all accusations, stating that the claims were baseless and politically motivated.
“I will soon prove how fabricated evidence was used to frame me,” Kadam asserted. He emphasized that he has no direct involvement in the matter and is being deliberately dragged into it for political gains and character assassination.
“Some matters have been forcefully raised in the House under the guise of ‘conflict of interest’. Now they are demanding my resignation — this has become their standard practice,” he said.
Kadam concluded by saying, “I will soon present my side in an appropriate and detailed manner.”
