Giridih: At least one person was killed and three others were injured after they came in contact with a high-tension wire while preparing for a Muharram procession on Sunday in Jharkhand's Giridih district, an official said.
The incident occurred around 11.30 am in the Chakosingha area under the Ghodthambha Police Outpost limits, around 200 km from the state capital Ranchi.
The incident took place when the top portion of 'Tazia' came in contact with a live wire, Giridih deputy commissioner (DC) Ramnivas Yadav said.
