While the official guest list remains under wraps, the buzz surrounding K-pop's potential presence at this year’s event is undeniable. With Louis Vuitton as the primary sponsor, the event is expected to feature some of K-pop's most influential stars, who are sure to bring their signature fashion-forward flair to the red carpet.

BLACKPINK's Jennie and Rosé attending the Met again?

Among the most anticipated attendees is BLACKPINK's Jennie. Her recent appearances at high-profile events like the Oscars, runway shows, and several campaigns have sparked rumours that she may be attending the Met Gala for the first time.

SEVENTEEN's S.Coups' Met Gala debut buzz

The buzz around K-pop idols at the Met Gala isn't limited to BLACKPINK. Recently, S.Coups, the leader of SEVENTEEN, was spotted heading to New York, sparking speculation that he could be attending the Met Gala either solo or with his group members. SEVENTEEN's growing international popularity has placed them in the spotlight, and it wouldn’t be surprising if S.Coups made his Met Gala debut this year.

Stray Kids may also return

Stray Kids made their Met Gala debut in 2024, collaborating with the fashion house Tommy Hilfiger. The group turned heads with their sleek suit looks, becoming one of the best dressed on the red carpet that year. Following the conclusion of their successful dominATE tour across Latin America, there's speculation that Felix may be returning to the Met Gala for another appearance. Fans are wondering if Stray Kids will attend as a group once again or if Felix will step out solo at the iconic fashion night.

Other South Korean stars expected at Met Gala

The rumours don't stop there. Several other K-pop idols are reportedly in the running for a spot on the Met Gala red carpet. Jackson Wang, known for his solo music career and his fashion-forward persona, is frequently mentioned as a possible invitee. Similarly, Cha Eun Woo, BamBam, and CL are also on the radar, with CL in particular having attended the Met Gala in the past and impressing everyone with her Alexander Wang ensemble.

Although there has been no official confirmation from the idols' agencies, it's safe to say that K-pop is likely to take over the Met Gala once again, as it has continued to do in recent years.
