Cancer is a serious problem whose risk is being seen in people of all ages. Be it women or men, children or elderly, anyone can be at risk of cancer. If we look at the recent data, it is known that the cases of some types of cancer are increasing rapidly among Indian women.

Breast cancer is a serious concern, and in the last few years, cervical cancer has been 'silently' making a large number of women its victims.
The second most common cancer in women worldwide is increasing alarmingly among young women in India. According to research, more than 1.27 lakh new cases of cervical cancer are reported every year in India. The main reason for this increase in young age groups is believed to be the spread of Human Papillomavirus (HPV).
It is increasing due to reasons such as early sexual relations, lack of screening and timely diagnosis of the disease as well as lack of vaccination coverage. A messed-up lifestyle increases these risks even more, which all women need to be aware of.
Cervical cancer and its risk
If we look at medical reports, it is known that cervical cancer is becoming a serious health crisis for women in many developing countries including India. Recent research has shown that this disease is now spreading rapidly and silently among young women. Its early detection is difficult, which leads to delays in treatment and increased complications.
Cervical cancer is caused by abnormal growth of cells in the cervix i.e. the lower part of the uterus. In most cases, HPV infection has been considered the main reason for this.
Women are falling prey even at the age of 20
According to the 2020 data from Globocon, about 77,000 people die of this cancer every year in India. Women aged 30-45 years are at the highest risk, but in recent years, cases of diagnosis have also increased rapidly in young women aged 20 to 30 years.
The World Health Organization says that cervical cancer can be prevented if vaccination, screening, and treatment are done on time. Cervical cancer can be prevented if the causes of infection are found and its symptoms are identified.
Who is at higher risk?
Doctors say that some conditions can increase the risk of cervical cancer, from which all women should keep protecting themselves.
Most cases of cervical cancer are caused by viral infection. Apart from this, sexual activity at an early age or having more than one sexual partner can also increase the risk of this cancer in you. People who have weak immunity or take contraceptive pills for a long time can also be at risk of cervical cancer.
How to recognize the early symptoms?
The early symptoms of cervical cancer are not very obvious, but some signs need serious attention.
Irregular periods or bleeding between periods
Bleeding after sex.

Pain in the pelvic area or abnormal discharge.
These symptoms can also be caused by many other reasons, but if they persist, contact a doctor immediately.
